The Jillish Fair at Tierney’s Tavern in Montclair
Saturday March 14th is sure to be an extraordinary evening. A celebration of the life and music of my friend, the late amazing Jill Sobule. Best know for her 1995 hit “I Kissed A Girl.” Join me and The Lovedrops with guests, Andy If, Adison, Steven Campbell and Mark Eliasof. Most of the participants were students in Jill’s Songwriting Workshops that she held starting in 2020 when we needed our creative community more than ever. Jill’s joy, humor, and dedication to her music and her activism will be be forever appreciated and sorely missed. There will be lots of surprises and opportunities to support Jill’s legacy. Please share with everyone. We want to celebrate Jill in a huge way! See you there.

Leslie & The Lovedrops
Leslie and the Lovedrops is a four-piece American rock and roll band. Glitter and Grit, out now, is the Debut Album of this seasoned foursome. Sparkly and sassy, Leslie writes songs that recount amusing tales with clever lyrics and strong, catchy hooks like in her song Beaujolais about a '“bougey'“ young woman with everything but love. You'll have these earworms stuck in your head for days. Her vocals conjure tones similar to those of Joan Jet, Sleater Kinney, and Melissa Etheridge. Leslie's energy is infectious. A little pop, a little punk, and a lot of rock'n'roll. This band is tight and outta sight!
Leslie & The Lovedrops have been playing together for almost a decade. Glenn on drums and Leslie on vocals, rhythm guitar, and bass, have been playing in bands together since they met years ago at the decrepit Sloan House YMCA dorm on Thirty-fourth Street and Ninth Avenue, where they lived while studying at the New School.
Stuart Klinger slays on the guitar. He brings over 40 years of experience as a professional musician, arranger, and producer. Phil Cohen is one of the best bass players in and around New York City. Together, Phil and Glenn Healy, on drums, lock in a groovy, steady rhythm section. Both have played together for many years, entertaining fans as the rhythm section in the High Action Boys with the infamous Tom Clark.
